A child was discovered on the A38 following a police call about a welfare concern. Authorities responded to reports that a boy was on the road near St Budeaux.

A rolling roadblock was set up while officers attended to the situation. According to a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police, the child was found safe and taken home, with the road now reopened.

A police spokesperson stated: "Police were called shortly after 12:30 PM on Wednesday, 19 February, following a concern for welfare regarding a boy on the A38 near St Budeaux. A rolling road closure was implemented. The boy was located safely and taken home. The road has now reopened.
