Plymouth will host its first major AI event, LifeIn AI, on April 9 at Devonport Market Hall. The event will feature AI robots, drones, workshops, and keynote talks, showcasing the cutting-edge AI technology in the South West.

Plymouth is set to become a hub for artificial intelligence (AI) with the launch of the region’s first major AI event, LifeIn AI, on April 9. The event will take place at Devonport Market Hall, a prime venue for digital and tech conferences, from 10am to 7pm. This groundbreaking one-day event will showcase AI robots, drones, robot dogs, and a range of interactive workshops led by industry experts.

The LifeIn AI event is free to attend, but attendees must sign up via Eventbrite. With over 150 tickets already booked, the event promises to provide immersive AI experiences for businesses, creatives, academics, students, and the public.

LifeIn AI will feature an array of activities, including AI-powered shows in Europe's largest immersive dome. The day will conclude with a one-hour Central AI Podcast Panel Talk, hosted by Paul Philpott, director of the Devon Chamber of Commerce, and featuring AI experts from the South West.

Ronnie Carter, the executive and project manager of Devon and Somerset Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), emphasized the importance of bridging the AI skills gap in the region. “AI is reshaping industries, and ensuring our workforce is equipped with the right skills is crucial for future growth,” Carter said.

The event is organized by Brand Biscuit Studio and content creator Matt Fleming. Christina Wilkins, founder of Brand Biscuit Studio, believes LifeIn AI will be a catalyst for innovation in the region and is particularly relevant for businesses looking to integrate AI into their operations.
