Hundreds of homes in Plymouth had their electricity restored after a major power outage affected the city. According to National Grid, 901 properties in the Peverell and Mutley areas initially experienced power cuts.

National Grid issued a statement saying, "We are aware of this power outage, which was reported at 12:03 PM. Our engineers are working to restore power as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

Quick Restoration Efforts

In an update, National Grid confirmed that the outage had impacted a total of 1,518 properties. However, engineers managed to restore all power in the area by 12:42 PM, just 39 minutes after the initial report.

"We successfully restored all supplies in the area by 12:42 PM this afternoon. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the power cut," the company stated.

Affected Areas and Postcodes

The power cut impacted homes in the PL3 and PL4 postal areas, including several specific postcodes such as PL3 4FD, PL3 4JA, PL3 4JB, and PL4 7DP, among others.

Authorities reassured residents that they are monitoring the situation to prevent further disruptions.
