The attack occurred in the early hours of February 21, when two suspects allegedly forced their way into a property on Lipson Road and assaulted a man in his 30s. The victim suffered serious injuries and remains in a critical condition in the hospital.
Devon and Cornwall Police, in collaboration with officers from the Metropolitan Police, arrested a 25-year-old man from London on suspicion of attempted murder. The arrest took place on the morning of March 5 in north London, and the man was brought to a police station in Devon for further questioning.
The police have confirmed that the incident is linked to organized crime, and investigations are ongoing with both national and international inquiries. It is believed that after the attack, the suspects traveled to a village in Wiltshire before leaving the area.
Authorities have described the second suspect as a black male, in his early 20s, wearing all black clothing.
