Police in North Plymouth have issued an important warning to local drivers, urging them to ensure their vehicles are locked and secure, especially overnight. Officers from the North Plymouth neighbourhood team raised concerns following a series of reports received over the past few days, indicating that a man had been attempting to enter unattended vehicles during the early hours of the morning.
According to authorities, the man has been successful in entering insecure vehicles and removing personal items. A spokesperson for the team explained, 'We have been working alongside the community, primarily in the Derriford and Roborough areas, to review any CCTV or doorbell footage that may provide evidence of these incidents.'
As a precautionary measure, the police are urging the public to double-check their vehicles and ensure they are securely locked. 'Please ensure that your vehicles are kept locked and secure, especially overnight. We would appreciate it if you could check your footage and report any suspicious behaviour to 101, quoting occurrence number 50250071436,' the spokesperson added.
