On the morning of Monday, May 5, a power outage disrupted electricity for 135 properties in the PL7 postcode area of Plympton, Plymouth. The incident was first reported at 5:31am.
According to National Grid, engineers were promptly dispatched to the affected area, where the outage was traced to a fault on the low voltage network. By 7:40am, power had been fully restored to all properties.
In an official statement, National Grid said: 'The incident was raised at 5.31am this morning affecting 135 properties. We successfully restored all supplies in the area by 7.40am. We are sorry for any inconvenience that was caused by the power cut.'
Earlier updates throughout the morning noted that 90 properties remained without power at 7:26am, and specific postcodes impacted included PL7 4QH, PL7 4QQ, PL7 4QS, and PL7 4QT. By 7:57am, all homes had electricity again.
